In the wake of recent tragedies including the racially-charged shooting in Buffalo, New York and the murder of children and teachers at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, I wanted to provide residents with resources to help navigate the stress, grief, and trauma associated with these events.
Additionally, May 25 marked the two year memorial of the death of George Floyd, whose murder reminded us of the ongoing fight for racial justice and need for true systemic change. While the fight is important, it is also important to acknowledge your mental well-being and healing. Please take some time to navigate these resources and reflect on your own mental wellness during these tough times.
